Howard Johnson was the key coming off the bench, going 2-for-2 with a HR, 3 RBI & steal, as the Mets finally get themselves a victory. Darryl Strawberry also had 2 hits & 2 runs, and Bobby Ojeda had a really good outing this time, allowing only 4 hits & 2 ER's in 6 innings. David "Big Papi" Ortiz hit his first HR of the season for Boston.

The Mets are looking to even the series, as they will send Sid Fernandez to the mound to face off against Curt Schilling for Game #8.

During the bottom of the 10th, with Bret Boone leading off against Ron Perranoski, Boone sends a laser to left, for a walk-off HR.

The Mariners' bullpen continue their dominance, with 26.2 Innings of scoreless ball. The Dodgers' bullpen have now suffered 5 losses.

Hideki Irabu was credited with the win in relief, as Mariano Rivera gets his 3rd save.
