The Blue Jays have made plenty of close games this season, as of late they have been getting good at winning them, finding themselves in 3rd place in the Stars IV (Bobby Cox Division) just two games behind first place Seattle. Damaso Garcia & Rance Mulliniks provided the majority of the offense with four hits each, including Rance's 2nd HR in as many days (going 6-for-9 during the stretch with 6 RBI).

The great news of the day, was the return of Sandy Alomar, Jr. returning from the Disabled List, in which he celebrated by hitting a solo HR in the 7th.

The Dodgers keep finding new ways to lose; Giants controlled the game for most of it's entirety with a 4-1 lead entering the top of the 9th (Dodgers entered inning with two hits), Ron Fairly would hit a two-run HR & Jim Gilliam would hit a triple, later tying it up (which he would score off Johnny Roseboro's sac fly). Bottom of the 10th with a man on first, Ron Fairly biffs the the throw from the third baseman, as the ball gets passed him, rolling to the wall as Art Fletcher came around and scored the winning run -- the ball was hit by the Giants' pitcher Hooks Wiltse (who earlier blown the save for the G-men).
