The Dodgers trailed the Mariners early (after 2 Innings) 6-0, but rallied back to score 7 runs combined through the 3rd & 4th, plus 4 more runs -- the next three innings; the Mariners didn't go quietly, scoring a run in the bottom of the 7th & two runs in the bottom of the 8th. The Mariners' outstanding scoreless bullpen streak came to an end, after 27 1/3 innings without a run allowed, John Halama would allow two runs (one earned) in the 6th Inning.

The 1962 Dodgers did something similar to the 1904 Giants in the tournament, in which they rallied from 6-0 in Game 3 and won the game, in which they kept the series alive, and won out the series as well.

Quilvio Veras (double) & Steve Finley's (triple) hits, also brought in two of the Padres' three runs. Chet Lemon hit his first HR of the season, as Detroit splits the series, 2-2.

Barry Bonds' two-run HR & double couldn't help the Giants avoid a sweep with the Phillies, as Mike Schmidt's 3-run triple did the damage in the bottom of the 5th. Garry Maddox returned for Philadelphia after missing 5 games due to an injury. The Giants have now lost 5 straight.
