2014 Transaction League

The 2014 Transaction League is going to be an easy project, a simulation BBW (Baseball for Windows) project. My brother and I, used to do this with the cards, we would replay a season, but there's a twist, use up to date MLB rosters. It wasn't fun for him, when his Montreal Expos in the mid-90's started unloading.

Confused? I just purchased the 2013 APBA BBW Season, and decided to put all the MLB Players with their current 2014 MLB rosters. Whenever there is a real MLB trade or signing, those players are placed on their current rosters. I can't make trades or no one else can as well, it has to be whatever the MLB teams do.

For example, the Yankees just traded Eduardo Nunez to the Minnesota Twins for some farm player. Nunez is now a Twin, up through April 6th, he was 0-for-5 with the Yankees. He ended up getting hurt in his Minnesota debut and is now out of action for 8 games. The "2013 Replay with a Twist" 2014 Transaction League can be simulated in two seconds for the day's games, in case some of you think I have too many projects going on. The hard work is already done, doing the pre-season rosters -- now I just have to check the daily transactions, and the rest is cake.

2013 MLB Stats with 2013 MLB Schedule, but with 2014 up-to-date rosters. Retired players such as Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettitte, and Lance Berkman will play with the respective teams they last played with; Players making their 2014 MLB Debuts such as Jose Abreu and Masuhiro Tanaka will not be included, they'll be taking place in the 2015 Transaction League (2014 Replay).

The Current Standings entering April 9th, look like this:

Robinson Cano (SEA) and Prince Fielder (TEX) are doing really well for their new teams. Cano is currently 8th in AVG (.424), while leading the league in hits (14) and doubles (6); Fielder, meanwhile, leads the A.L. with 4 HR, 11 RBI & 9 runs.

The Houston Astros are currently looking for their first win still, at 0-7. They got torched by Fielder's Texas Rangers, 16-3 & 18-3 the first two games! OUCH!
